Cambridge & Counties Bank has appointed Simon Lindley to the new position of Commercial Director to oversee all of the niche Bank’s lending.

Simon joined Cambridge & Counties as a Business Development Manager at its 2012 launch and was subsequently asked to head up the area responsible for all its property backed lending.

His new role also encompasses Cambridge & Counties’ Asset Finance operations, taking over from the departing Mike Oxby. The Bank entered Asset Finance in 2015 and was this year named New Challenger of the Year in the Leasing World Awards.

CEO Mike Kirsopp said:

“Under Simon’s direction the Bank’s Real Estate lending has grown by 141% percent over the past two years.

“In taking over responsibility for our young Asset Finance business, Simon will drive the same acceleration in business growth thanks to the close relationships between the Bank and its broker introducers and customers.”

Mike Kirsopp added:

“Our thanks and best wishes go to Mike Oxby who came to the Bank 15 months ago with the brief to build and invigorate our Asset Finance team.

“He successfully achieved all we expected to, including the appointment of a new business development field force to represent our Asset Finance business across the North, Midlands and East of England.

“We thank Mike for all his hard work and for bringing such a huge influence to bear on a young business that looks set fair to grow strongly through 2017 and beyond.”
