Announcing the winners of our annual broker awards

Devon-based mortgage broker Capisce Finance named Commercial Broker of the Year ꟷ Yorkshire’s Real Property Finance Ltd named Residential Broker of the Year

Capisce Finance, the Devon-based independent commercial mortgage broker, walked away with the Commercial Broker of the Year Award at Cambridge & Counties Bank’s annual finance broker awards ceremony held on the 9th of May at Kilworth House Real Property Finance Ltd was named Residential Broker of the Year for the sixth year running.

Cambridge & Counties Bank’s annual broker awards has been running since 2013 and looks to reward the brokers that have helped drive the bank’s record growth. In 2018, finance brokers helped the specialist property bank exceed £1 billion in lending balances and are a fundamental part of the bank’s business model.

Over 40 brokers from across England, Scotland and Wales gathered in Leicestershire to applaud the partnerships which have enabled Cambridge & Counties Bank to deliver its lending to an increasing number of SME businesses and property investors. The event at Kilworth House culminated in two awards being presented to firms in recognition of the volume and value of business they have brought to the bank in the past year.

Yorkshire’s Real Property Finance made it six successful years in a row by being named Residential Broker of the Year. This year marked a first win for Capisce Finance.

Cambridge & Counties’ Chief Executive Officer, Mike Kirsopp, and Chief Development Officer, Simon Lindley hosted the event.

“First and foremost, we would like to acknowledge the winners and in particular, Paul Chadney of Capisce Finance and Andy Churchill, Alan Laslett and Alex Churchill of Real Property Finance. The partnerships we have forged with our broker network are a significant part in our success story, and this is best seen in our move away from the Business Development Manager title to that of Relationship Manager. This is a key reflection of the strong relationships and links we have with our stakeholders of which our brokers form an integral part.”

The awards were presented to Paul Chadney, of Capisce Finance and Andy Churchill, of Real Property Finance Ltd.

Andy Churchill of Real Property Finance Ltd said:

The brokers at Kilworth House came from the bank’s key markets based around its offices in Leicester, Birmingham, Sheffield and Bristol.
