Senior Credit Underwriter REF

Location:  Leicester    Salary:  Dependent on experience

 

As part of our small but highly skilled Underwriting team, you will assess the credit and risk profiles of customers within the Real Estate market (including investment properties, owner occupiers and trading businesses), determining the acceptability of proposals and providing recommendations or suggesting alternative solutions (where appropriate), that satisfy customer needs and meet business objectives. You will conduct a manual, independent assessment of each case and prepare the relevant documents for an informed decision to be made by either the appropriate official/Credit Committee or within own Delegated Lending Authority, ensuring that all recommendations for lending sanctions are compliant with the Bank’s policies and regulatory policies.

You must have extensive previous experience of underwriting REF proposals.  In addition to this, any experience of underwriting AF proposals and/or recoveries experience would be advantageous.

  • Significant previous experience as a Credit Underwriter
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of the relevant rules under the financial services acts
  • A wide knowledge of the commercial environment and sector specialism including pensions, real estate lending and the SME market
  • An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques
  • A good level of financial and commercial awareness
  • A good understanding of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly requirements relevant to credit operations
  • The ability to interpret and implement relevant guidance, ensuring compliance and due regard is paid to the interests of customers and customers are treated fairly
  • Excellent oral / written communication skills and organisational skills

Marketing Communications Executive

In this busy and varied role, you will play an active role in the delivery of the Cambridge & Counties Bank marketing and communications strategies by supporting the Marketing Communications Manager in delivering compliant, on brand, customer centric marketing campaigns and collateral.  By understanding and developing the end-to-end customer journeys across all products, you will ensure our communications and collateral meet the customer’s needs, and by building a good understanding of our competitors and their offerings, you will be encouraged to implement changes that will enhance the customers experience of the Bank.

  • Strong copy writing skills with the ability to write engaging content interpreting complex financial solutions in to jargon free, easy to understand and compelling communications.
  • Agency management experience including writing briefs, managing, and evaluating design ideas.
  • An analytical customer first approach.
  • Good levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven with a motivation to see initiatives through to completion and report with MI.
  • Good time management, organisation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing personal workload and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute in a team environment, working collaboratively across the team to implement campaigns through all channels.
  • Computer literate including proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Senior Relationship Manager - Scotland

Location:  Scotland      Salary:  competitive plus car allowance

In this newly created role, you will work closely with the Regional Director to develop and implement a sales’ strategy for your region.  You will identify and develop new business opportunities through the management of key ‘client’ and intermediary relationships, which will help the Bank achieve its strategic and Business Plan objectives, generating the maximum amount of compliant profitable sales through the achievement of sales targets, whilst ensuring good customer outcomes. You will also manage an existing portfolio of clients by undertaking annual reviews on each client connection in a timely and detailed manner.
