Business Development Manager / Senior Business Development Manager
Region: Manchester and Northwest
We are looking for someone to drive the bank’s growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities and relationships with brokers and professionals.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in achieving our strategic and Business Plan aim, ensuring the achievement of compliant and profitable sales that contribute to the bank's success.
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer outcomes, meeting sales targets, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and bank procedures throughout the onboarding process.

About you
For this role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Proficient in driving sales to meet and exceed profitability targets, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
- The ability to maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating effective collaboration.
- Experience in leading a team and developing colleagues to maximise performance
- A high level of financial and commercial awareness, including credit analysis
- An understanding of Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty requirements
- An understanding of the relevant rules under the financial services act
- Impressive record of achieving targets
- An appropriate knowledge and experience of sales and marketing

We are beginning our journey to become the “specialist SME bank of choice”, continuing to grow organically by meeting the needs of our customers through Real Estate Finance, Asset Finance and Deposit products. The business is growing it’s lending in both asset finance and property lending, with this role being fundamental to this future growth and transformation of the wider business. As such its an exciting time to be joining Cambridge & Counties Bank.
We are looking for someone with product management to manage existing customer relationships and deliver on commercial lending targets. The successful candidate will work with Senior Managers in Asset Finance and Real Estate Finance to deliver the bank’s lending product strategy, monitor the market and competitors, build and maintain good customer relations and outcomes, act as an effective first line of defence, and appropriately handle regulatory responsibilities - to meet the bank’s commercial objectives.

For this role you will need the following skills and experience:
- Extensive professional experience and market knowledge of product/propositional management in either/or Asset Finance and Real Estate Finance.
- Experience of developing product and propositions from inception to delivery, including constructing compelling business cases to be considered by the Executive Team.
- Experience in managing customer and stakeholder relationships, including negotiating and collaborating across multiple disciplines.
- Strong analytical skills, being able to manipulate data in order to understand key challenges and opportunities within the business.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory principles, conduct risk, and Treating Customers Fairly Requirements and ability to apply these accordingly
- High level of experience in writing and developing reports and preparing and presenting papers that are engaging
- PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
